Holistic Health Coaching

Do you have an understanding of how your thoughts and feelings actually effect the way your body feels? Whether or not you become ill? The state of your immune system or the likelihood of injury in any given day or during average activities. Your thoughts affect your body, which in turn effects your emotions. These neurochemicals also effect your physical being, especially in states of stress or unhappiness.  In todays world it is hard not to become inundated by the fear that pervades our news and media. It is hard not to be caught up by the worries that our society and families face. These stressors combined with the daily mental, emotional and physical stress on our bodies in our careers combine to be a pretty heady cocktail for pain.

My coaching focuses on teaching you how to heal yourself from the inside out. How to guard your energy carefully. Ways to replenish when you are low. Tips on self-care that no one ever told you.

Pain couseling is a specialty of mine. Working with chronic pain clients I am able to assist you in seeing your body in an entirely different way.  Helping to reduce not just the pain, but the darkness and depression that come with it. Helping you to be empowered in your healing is my primary goal. Take your health back!

Did you know:

A loss of liquid equivalent to 1 percent of total body weight is enough to diminish the body's working capacity by 10 percent?  For a person weighing 160 lbs., 1 percent of body weight (1.6 lbs) is a quantity that is easily lost through the sweat caused by one hour of physical exercise at an average temperature of 64 degrees.  At 82 degrees fahrenheit, the loss borders on more than 4 percent of total body weight which equates to a 40 percent loss of physical ability.

Most adults need about 3 quarts of fluid each day, alot of which will come from food.  The typical recommendation is 8-12 eight ounce glasses of water per day.  More water is necessary for your body if you live where the weather is hot or very dry, or if you are exercising or taking certain medications that require more water than what is typical.

Keep in mind that water intake should be over an entire day and not all at once. Drinking large amounts of water in a short period of time can result in loss of electrolytes.
